A Japanese inro with five compartments distinguished by its elaborate gold maki-e lacquer decoration. The surface depicts a picturesque scene of bamboo bundles holding branches with leaves, creating a harmonious composition against a dark background. The detailing of the ornamentation extends to the inside compartments decorated with nashiji.
To complete the elegance of this inro, there is an ojime and a netsuke, both made of horn and decorated in relief. The netsuke depicts a traveler with a hat and a jug.
