A Japanese ivory netsuke depicting a rat with eyes made of black horn. The rat is portrayed resting on its hind legs, while wrapping its long tail around an acorn, nibbling at it with its front paws. This Japanese ivory netsuke featuring a rat is finely carved, capturing the details of the fur and tail, accentuating the large smooth ears.
The object comes with an original label confirming its provenance from the former Tamanini collection in Milan.
