A Japanese lacquer inro, a traditional box, with three compartments meticulously adorned in gold with numerous bamboo plants.
This inro is beautifully enriched and surrounded by dense nashiji lacquer speckles and features intricate maki-e decoration showcasing an elegant bamboo motif, contrasting with some mother-of-pearl inlay stems and leaves on the surface.
The interior is in nashiji. This sophisticated technique is executed with mastery and precision, adding depth and refinement to the composition.
This lacquer inro adorned with numerous bamboo plants is completed with a wooden netsuke depicting Okame, a legendary figure from Noh theater, with a lively and joyful expression.
Agate ojime adds further charm with its unique shades and veins harmonizing with the overall design. The original silk cord holding the inro, netsuke, and ojime is an authentic detail emphasizing the completeness and integrity of the piece.
