Magnificent and large lacquered wood and ivory okimono, enriched with semi-precious stones and mother-of-pearl, depicting the Goddess Kannon. Standing, adorned in a wind-blown kimono, beautifully decorated with maki-e lacquer featuring a dragon Ryu swirling around the Goddess amidst clouds, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

The Goddess Kannon gracefully holds a scroll and a bottle, her proud ivory face is adorned with pearl earrings and a necklace. In the center, a copper-colored lacquer bow is surrounded by intricate micro-mosaic mother-of-pearl. This okimono is a powerful symbol, representing Kannon, considered by Japanese Buddhists as the savior of the world and the embodiment of mercy.
